Does a Lost Lone Star Stay Lost?
Or Can It Be Found?
Well, dearies, today is October 29, one very special day. Besides being almost Halloween, one of my favorite holidays, EVER; tomorrow, the 30th, would be my parents' 79th wedding anniversary --- were they still alive. I like to think that they are celebrating in Heaven, dancing the cha-cha like they did in Havana in 1959. But there's one other very important reason for feeling ecstatic today..........
We are just short of four months away from publication day for The Lost Lone Star Quilt. Of course, it's exciting when any book is published, but this one- ah, this one- I am not kidding when I say that it nearly killed me. At one point, I told my brilliant, incredibly understanding editor that I was going to throw the whole thing out and start all over, or better yet, trash it completely and write something else. She never let on, but I think that I must have given her a panic attack. I know that if I were in her shoes, I would have. In short, this was one challenging story to write, and for her to edit, and for me to rewrite. God only knows how many times. I had a real love-hate relationship with this manuscript! But in the end, we got through it. I didn't die. And you know what, I still love this story, every bit of it. And I hope you do, too.
Now, if you're wondering how all this came about, all I can say is that you can preorder it now on the C&T website, or on Amazon, or wherever you like to buy your books, and you'll receive your copy on February 23, 2027, publication day. Then you can leave a review and tell me what you thought of it. Just be gentle, dear friends, and try not to break my heart. Remember, it was truly a labor of love.
Till next time,
Jeffree Wyn
